A Kisumu Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) activist Austine Oduor alias Makamu will be arraigned in court to answer to charges of incitement.

Makamu was on Thursday accused by the county Criminal Investigations Department of inciting the public to violence on Wednesday during demonstrations against the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Kisumu and Siaya Members of County Assembly (MCAs) accompanied Makamu to the CID headquarters where he was grilled for two hours before recording a statement.

Police officers claimed that a video posted on social media showed the suspect inciting the public.
