Three workers were Monday morning  killed and four seriously wounded after a gang attack on a petrol station in Utawala area, Nairobi.

Police say the gang stole cash and valuables in the 3 am incident before escaping. The unknown number of attackers used blunt objects and pangas in the attack. Nairobi Ppo Benson Kibue said the gang stole unknown amount of money in the attack that happened opposite the GSU training school in Embakasi.

Two of the deceased are guards who were on duty at the Astrol Petrol Station along Eastern by pass.  Their bodies were still lying in a service bay of the station by 8 am. The third body was in the station's shop. Kibue said the gang tried to break the safe at a shop near the petrol station and it is not clear if they stole cash.

The petrol station is new and has been having booming business.Kibue said they suspect the gang wanted to make quick money.
