President Uhuru expected to attend Mutula’s burial

Nairobi, Kenya: President Uhuru Kenyatta jetted back into the country Thursday morning from a three-day visit to London, United Kingdom.

The President is expected to attend the burial of the late Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo before traveling to Cape Town, South Africa later in the afternoon to attend the World Economic Forum on Africa.

The Head of State is also expected to hold a bilateral meeting with South Africa President Jacob Zuma.

President Uhuru had attended the London Conference on Somalia and also held talks with British Prime Minister David Cameron.

During the meeting, PM Cameron said relations between the two countries have been mutually beneficial and underlined the commitment of the British Government to strengthen the relations further.

On his part, President Kenyatta applauded the fraternal relations between the two countries saying his Government appreciates the assistance that the United Kingdom has continued to extend to Kenya.

During the Conference on Somalia, President Kenyatta voiced Kenya’s support for the timely return and resettlement of Somali refugees in their motherland.
