Mutula autopsy report to be out in 10 weeks

By Standard Digital Reporter

Kenyans will have to wait longer for the autopsy report on the late Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo.

Pathologists conducting the postmortem said that the report will be out in 8 to 10 weeks.

They added that further tests on samples will be carried out.

The autopsy carried out by seven pathologists took over five hours.

The exercise was conducted on Tuesday at the Lee Funeral home after the arrival of family’s pathologist from the United Kingdom.

The family on Monday requested for the postmortem to be pushed to Tuesday to allow the pathologist to take part in the exercise.

The Criminal Investigations Department has launched investigations into Mutula’s death with Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko appointing a team of prosecutors to assist the police in the probe.
