A woman from Kericho county will apparently do without a new hairdo for months after she happily planted a ‘seed’ in church with all the money in her purse.

According to the woman’s friend, the woman who lives in Nyagacho Estate, had been given Sh1,000 by her husband on Sunday morning when she asked for sadaka. Unbeknown to her, the father of her children expected ‘change’.

“The poor woman thought that God had finally touched her usually mean husband and even said a silent prayer over it,” a friend claims.

However, after a ‘fiery’ service where the pastors literally kicked and slapped the devil out of member’s lives, the woman was happy that her prayers would be answered.

But when she got home, the poor woman got a rude shock when her husband asked for his ‘balance’.

Balance issues

At first, she reportedly wondered what ‘change’ her husband was talking about. He angrily asked her whether she had forgotten that he had given her a hard earned Sh1,000 crisp note in the morning.

To his shock, she politely disclosed to him that she had cheerfully planted it as a ‘seed’ in church.

“How many times have I told you that I hate all those pastor’s get-rich-quick schemes. Tell me have I ever given you more than Sh50 for sadaka?  I expected you to look for change?” he spat.

However, mama watoto simply defended herself that he was to blame for not giving her any instructions but left her to ‘use her head’.

The poor woman’s attempts to humour him that he should not consider it a loss but believe that God will multiply it, fell on deaf ears.
