Germany are the big losers in the updated FIFA world rankings after their disastrous World Cup.
Joachim Low's side have tumbled from top spot to a lowly 15th following their group stage exit in Russia in which they picked up just a solitary point.
Germany suffered a humiliating defeat to South Korea in what turned out to be their final match of the tournament to confirm the worst World Cup in their illustrious history.
It is good news for England, however, who have been rewarded for their first semi-final appearance since 1990.
The Three Lions crashed out to Croatia at the last-four stage, but their impressive tournament was enough to see Gareth Southgate's side rise from 12th to sixth in the FIFA rankings.
Croatia climbed a huge 16 places to fourth after their final defeat to France, with Les Bleus claiming top spot from the Germans, a rise of six places.
Belgium and Brazil complete the top four while Uruguay are sandwiched between Croatia and England in fifth.
The biggest risers were World Cup hosts Russia who climbed 21 places to 49th, while the biggest fallers were Egypt, who tumbled 20 spots to 65th.
Wales are the highest-ranked British team outside of England, falling one place to 19th. Northern Ireland are placed 27th and Scotland 40th. The Republic of Ireland are ranked 29th.
