KDB On Milk Quality Standards

The Kenya dairy board has launched a good manufacturing practices handbook and a user – friendly version of its code of hygienic practice for milk and milk products. The board says the move has been taken to improve the quality of milk and related products, at a time when concerns have been raised about informal milk distribution channels, that pose a health harzard to consumers and undermine the country’s competitiveness in export markets.
