Groove bash at KICC

The gospel fraternity is set to host one of the biggest entertainment bonanza come December 31st at KICC. Dubbed the ‘Groove Party’, the concert has attracted gospel’s big names Daddy Owen, Emmy Kosgei, Rose Muhando, Christian Shusho, Kambua Manundu, Marion Shako and Exodus. Others include M.O.G, Holy Dave, Ben Githae, Sadiq, DJ Mo, Alemba, Jimmy Gait, Astar, Maximum Melodies, Kris Eee, Anastancia Mukabwa, DJ Krowbar, Wakabura Joseph and DJ Dee among others. The extravaganza is sponsored by among others Safaricom, Mr Price, Nokia and Mo Sound.

Nameless, Amani for Beach party

Make your way to Big Tree Beach front for Christmas Eve beach party dubbed ‘Niaje Christmas’ party. The showpiece will feature Nameless, Wahu and TID. The Pulse Magazine will also hold a major throw-down New Year party at the same venue featuring the Genge Godfather Nonini, Jaguar, Amani, Mustapha and Marya, among others.

Meanwhile Pulse throws down yet another super New Year’s party at the featuring Genge Godfather Nonini, Jaguar, Amani, Mustapha and Marya among others. The show dubbed Verve Beach party will unveil for the first time the largest glass stage, intelligent lighting and showbiz gadgets.

‘Totally Sold Out’ event

Gospel music lovers are in for a big treat at the Nairobi Chapel located on Ngong Road on New Year’s Eve during a special event dubbed ‘Totally Sold Out’. The event, organised by K Krew, comprises three arenas in one that feature live concerts and club expressions. Entrance is restricted to individuals of 25 years and above. Tickets are available at Tuskys Supermarkets, Keswick, Wakestar and Wells Bookshops.

Code Red, P Unit, Shaffie at Beach Hotel

MTV Awards nominees and multiple award winners P-Unit will be docking at the Mombasa Beach Hotel for a major New Year’s concert. The all-night beach party will also feature Ally B, Mr Blue and Abby Skillz. Leading emcee and radio personality Shaffie Weru will be the emcee of the night.

Diamond, Hussein at Jamboree

High-riding Tanzania singers Diamond and Hussein Machozi are expected to be the star attractions during a Christmas Eve gig to be hosted at Mombasa’s Jamboree Campers Haven. Come tomorrow, they will be at Village Market in Malindi with DJ Peter Adamz on the decks.

Nazizi’s date in Kitale

Nazizi, the first lady of Kenyan hip-hop, has a Christmas Eve date with her Kitale fans tonight. The Necessary Noise singer of Bless my Room fame will be at Pine Wood for a major gig, thanks to Grandpa Records. During the concert, Nazizi will launch her new single.

Necessary Noize for Mamba International

Mombasa’s top entertainment spot, Mamba International will host an array of big parties throughout the festive season. The refurbished club with state-of-the-art sound, laser lighting, stage and bars will see Capital FM throw down a New Year’s party featuring Wyre and Nazizi.

The club has worked on its ambience on the dance arena, VIP and VVIP exclusive lounges. It boasts of staggering 13 bars that can hold thousands of people under an enormous conical shaped makuti thatched roof.

Greenfest on cards

The Standard Group, Nema, Beryll Foundation and Flame Entertainment have joined hands to declare December a Green month. A three-day show dubbed The New Year’s Green extravaganza at Splash Waterworld is in the offing featuring hip-hop, reggae and ragga, afro-fusion musicians such as Abbi Nyinza, Kidum, Nina Ogot, Sauti Sol and George Mutinda among others. The show will include green exhibition and puppetry and runs from December 31 to January 2 next year.

Club Lambada Mugithi party

King of Mugithi, Mike Rua will entertain fans on Christmas Eve at Club Lambada, Mtwapa. The musician will share stage with Royse Kim in the show dubbed ‘Xplosive Xmas Showdown’ that kicks-off at 8pm. Kayamba Afrika and Kanda King will also perform.

Euro pub mania

If you love good mix of music then make your way to the funky sports bar, Euro Pub at Bestlady Centre on Ronald Ngala Street. The resident deejay will thrill fans with the latest mix of music that includes Bongo, hip-hop, crunk, soul and local music. The club has also installed large screens for patrons to catch sports action as they listen to music.

Kidum at the Kim4love

High riding and celebrated singer Kidum, will be back to Mombasa tonight where he will host a Christmas Eve show at Kim4love Fun Club in Diani. The all-night concert, which will also feature a number of other artistes, has been organised by Xtreme Entertainment.

DJ Adamz goes to Dar

Fingaworks deejay, Peter Adams and Space deejays from Mombasa will be crossing over to Tanzania for a New Year thrill at the Moven Pick Hotel, Dar es salaam. The extravaganza has been organised by Starlight Events Company.

Mugithi Party at Nyeri

If you are travelling to Nyeri this Christmas, you can get a dose of entertainment at the Christmas Mugithi Party at Itaara Gardens where all Mugithi fans will be converging on Christmas Day. There will be an array of artistes performing led by leading artiste John De’ Mathew of Njata Yakwa Fame. On the decks, it will be DJ Sheriff.
