Kanye West says won't release GAP clothing line until he’s on board of directors

Kanye West has threatened to withhold his clothing line with GAP until he’s granted with more authority. The rap artist-turned-fashion designer, 43, took to Twitter to rant over his latest desires. Controversial Kanye insisted that he is willing to withhold any product releases with Gap Inc. until he secures a seat on the company’s board of directors.

The music legend, who is currently rumoured to be in ‘divorce talks’ with wife Kim Kardashian, was set to release the latest instalment of his Yeezy Gap clothing line for both men and women by next year. However, the release of the electric range of garments, which also caters for children, may now be put on hold for the foreseeable if Kanye’s demands are not met.

“I’m not releasing nothing on gap till I’m on the board” he tweeted on Thursday night. Kanye also used the opportunity to launch an attack on his Adidas - who he also collaborates with - during the rant. The furious star threatened to start working with the company's rival Nike if his wishes were not met.

“I’m wearing Jordans till I’m on the board of Adidas. My first pillar when I’m on the board of Adidas will be an Adidas Nike collaboration to support community growth,” he continued. Earlier this summer, the star signed a ten-year deal with Gap. Kanye’s latest Twitter rant comes as speculation continues to swirl that his marriage to Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim, is crumbling.

39-year-old Kim recently admitted that she is having trouble sleeping after experiencing her lowest points since the beginning of her relationship with the rapper. Sources have told The Sun that Kanye's claims about Kim wanting her pregnancy with North aborted had been a step too far and that was before he called her out on Twitter in a vicious rant.

She is now reportedly "planning to divorce" Kanye once his latest bipolar episode passes. An insider told Page Six: "Kim has the whole divorce planned out but she's waiting for him to get through his latest episode." The coronavirus pandemic has been part of the problem which has sent Kanye in a "downward spiral" with his mental health and Kim reportedly "isn’t surprised" that Kanye is not "abiding to terms of his care plan."

The source told the outlet: “He's on very thin ice with her right now, and she's truly trying to decide what to do to protect the kids, but also her own sanity. The whole thing is discouraging and difficult for her."
