Health CAS Dr Rashid Aman on Friday announced that the
government will announce the way forward regarding the curfew on Saturday.
The 7pm-5am curfew was extended for 21 days starting April
26, 2020, meaning it is set to end this weekend.
Aman stated that key government officials were still in
consultations and a comprehensive update will be issued on Saturday.
While speaking at Afya House, Dr Aman announced 23 more
cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing the national tally to 781.
Out of this number, 18 are male while five are female.
In terms of age, the youngest is 24 years while the oldest
is 85 years.

Aman also announced that three more patients had succumbed
to the virus in the last 24 hours.
On testing at the borders, the CAS said: “We are doing all
we can to cut down on waiting time. The molecular-based test can take 5-8 hours
to get results.
“There will still be delays but truckers have to wait for
results before proceeding with their journey.”
