SUMMARY

Although he did not reveal the name of the person who threatened him, the legislator said that he will still attend the BBI conference for the sake of uniting the country.

For the past few days, Murkomen has been on the forefront in leading the Tangatanga team towards joining the BBI journey.

Senate Majority Kipchumba Murkomen says he will attend the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) conference in Mombasa on Saturday 25 January despite being threatened.

Through his social media handle, Murkomen revealed that he had received threats that will see him being denied a seat or even get heckled should he stand to talk.

Although he did not reveal the name of the person who threatened him, the legislator said that he will still attend the BBI conference for the sake of uniting the country.

“I have been threatened that if I attend the Mombasa BBI meeting, I shall be humiliated by being denied a seat, not being allowed to talk, or even if I am allowed to talk, I shall be heckled."

“If that's what it takes to unite this country, so be it, and I am ready to absorb. Tukutane Mombasa,” said Murkomen.

For the past few days, Murkomen has been at the forefront in leading the Tangatanga team towards joining the BBI journey.

“I would like to welcome all leaders to the BBI meeting in Mombasa this Saturday. We shall be focusing on the unity and development of this country and not sideshows about 2022 and discussing individuals.”

“We will be participating in all public BBI rallies across the country, and this weekend, we will be in Mombasa together with the BBI team,” said Murkomen.
