Digital strategist and Blogger, Dennis Itumbi, claimed that he was beaten up by 18 police officers at the Kilimani Police Station on Friday, January 10, 2020.

In a video that went viral on Saturday, January 11, 2020, Itumbi narrates that he went to pick his car from the police station where the police officers pounced on him.

The former Secretary of Innovation, Digital, and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President stated that the police officers surrounded him and unleashed their wrath.

He explained that that the policemen directed blows in his direction and kicked him.

“Wamenichapa, they have really hit me, yaani policemen, 18 of them I was just going in to get back my car, 18 policemen rained blows, they start kicking, what kind of people are these”

“My only mistake is to go to a public police station to pick my car” said Itumbi.

This came hours after Gatundu South Member of Parliament(MP) Moses Kuria was arrested for assault and was held at the same police station.

Through his twitter account, Itumbi said that he was treated and discharged and ready to go back to the police station to ensure the release of the Gatundu South MP.
