Motorcyclist killed as speeding lorry sheds load on top of him

A motorcyclist died when a speeding lorry shed its load on top of him after taking a bend at high speed.

The truck was spotted on CCTV in Sathyamangalam, India, tipping onto the innocent biker who was waiting to join traffic.

Farmer Mr Palanisamy can be seen in the clip starting his bike and starting to turn to join the main road, having just visited a grocery store.

But as he begins to reverse towards the road, the truck loses control and topples on top of him.

The 68-year-old was killed died after sustaining severe head injuries during the horror incident.

Onlookers brought an earthmover to help free Mr Palanisamy and managed to lift the truck off him.

He was taken to the government hospital in Sathyamangalam, where doctors declared him dead.

The truck driver managed to escape without injury and police have opened an investigation into the crash.

In China, earlier this year a mechanic died when he was crushed to death by a Rolls Royce in a horrific garage accident.

The luxury car had been suspended for two men, known as Mr Liu and Mr Yu, to carry out work on it.

But CCTV showed the car tipping backwards off the ramp.
