Mudavadi out of order over political attack on Ruto

Claims by Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi that Deputy President William Ruto’s political activities in western Kenya are not a threat to his political ambitions in 2022 are misplaced.

In any case, Mudavadi should understand that he is no match to Ruto. The truth is that Mudavadi only enjoys popularity in Vihiga County while Ruto remains a national figure. For Mudavadi to say that the Deputy President’s political activities in western Kenya are not a threat is just laughable.

It is unbelievable that Mudavadi is touring other parts of the country to solicit for support ahead of 2022, yet he has failed to unite his Luhya community. He is one of the leaders waiting for endorsements from certain kingpins to survive politically.

It has become clear that Mudavadi is sleeping while his competitors are busy traversing the country; engaging in development activities. Politics is about having strong political base at home before seeking support from other communities.
