VIDEO: Snake causes panic at airport’s departure lounge

Terrified passengers panicked after a black rat snake was spotted slithering through an airport waiting area in the Philippines.

The incident took place at the Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport and the serpent was seen snaking its way across the main departure lounge of the airport terminal as passengers jumped from their seats.

Footage shows one member of airport security staff using a long pole to pin the snake down before another stuffs it into a plastic bag.

The snake was then released back into the wild in bushes near the airport.
