What next? Miguna Miguna refuses to fill forms issued by Immigration department to regularize his citizenship

National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna through his lawyer Cliff Ombeta has refused to fill in forms that had been issued to him by the Immigration of Kenya Department to regularize his citizenship.

On Tuesday morning 27 March, the Immigration Department said that Miguna will have to fill the application forms which had been dispatched to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for processing.

“IMPORTANT UPDATE: To enable Miguna regularize his citizenship status, the Department of Immigration has this morning dispatched the requisite application forms to JKIA for Miguna to duly fill for processing,” said the Immigration Kenya.

Lawyer Nelson Havi said that Miguna is currently detained in a toilet and has been denied access to see his lawyers.

"Miguna Miguna is currently detained in a toilet at Terminal 2-Arrivals and has been denied access to his Lawyers. This issue is getting out of hand fast, because of impunity and outright incompetence in the Ministry of Interior," said Havi.
