Pedro and Spur’s Son, Pochettino are April’s Premier League best

The 24-year-old and Tottenham Hotspur attacker, Son-Heung min, bagged his second award this season for the best player for the month of April. He achieved the same fete in September last year.

The South Korean scored five goals and an assist ensuring Spurs six wins last month. He is the first person to win the prize twice this season.

Son received the most combined votes from a panel of experts, Premier League captains and fans to win the award.



He beat a long list of his mates; Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen, Eric Bailey of Man United, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, forwards Sergio Aguero and Christian Benteke of Man City and Crystal Palace respectively.


Last month Everton’s Romelu Lukaku won the accolade.



Pedro Rodriguez strike outside the box against Everton on March 30 earned the Spaniard goal of the season. Pedro has been instrumental in Antonio Conte’s starting 11 this season scoring crucial goals. He has definitely contributed a great deal in guiding Chelsea secure their fifth Premier League title after 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at Hawthorns on Friday 12 April.



Andros Townsend of Crystal Palace won this accolade in March.



Spurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino scooped April’s manager of the month after registering a 100% record; winning all six fixtures last month.


The Argentine massive wins against Burnley, Swansea, Watford Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Arsenal ensured Spurs finish above Gunners for the first time in over two decades. They have already secured a second place in the EPL.


He won the award after beating fellow managers- Jose Mourinho (Man United), Craig Shakespeare(Leicester), Marco Silva(Hull) and Chelsea’s Antonio Conte.



Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe had won the prize for the month of March.
