We have a new deal

Nairobi, March 21, 2017.

Little, a Kenyan based taxi hailing company has set a record as the first brand of its category to strike an advertising deal in the English Premier League.

Starting from last weekend and lasting through the end of the 2016/2017 season, Kenyans will proudly see the little brand being advertised inside pitch perimeter screens at key games such as the West Brom- Arsenal brawl and the Stoke City- Chelsea fixture last Saturday.

Speaking on phone to the newsroom, Little’s General Manager Ronald Mahondo explained that as they grow their market share in Kenya, they are also targeting travelers on both business and leisure who frequent the country to have them sample innovation born and bred in Nairobi.

“As a key global passion point, we chose to use football to introduce ourselves to the rest of the world while remaining relevant to our Kenyan consumer. This is just the beginning and we will look at ways in which we can continue to position Little and the Kenyan innovation community on the global map as we bring more investors and consumers to Nairobi,” he said.

Traditionally, telcos, banks, and beer brands have been the obvious investors in the English league with betting companies from Africa joining the foray.

The English Premier League management, as well as many clubs that participate in this top flight league, have made Africa a new focus in their search for new growth frontiers.
