Popular ‘Game of Thrones’ actor is in town!!

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is a Danish professional actor who is well known by his stage name Jaime Lannister.

Well, you guessed it right, ‘The King Slayer’ is in Nairobi. He will be in the country as the Goodwill Ambassador for United Nations Development Program(UNDP).

UNDP is under the emblem of United Nations that help in empowering lives and nations. In Kenya, it works with partners to create sustainable growth and improve the quality of life.

He will be participating in Global Goals World Cup on Sunday 5th March 2017 at Impala Grounds in Nairobi from 3 p.m.

In September 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals for sustainable development, meaning, if these goals are worked upon we will witness an end to extreme poverty, inequality and climate change by 2030.

UNDP in conjunction with Save the Children Campaign which engages in advocacy work and does whatever it takes to reach every child will come together on Sunday to rally behind the first two goals for sustainable development, which are: eradicating poverty and secondly making our society hunger-free.

Other dignitaries and ambassadors for the event include Anne Romani, Wariko Waita, Mwendwa Kiogora, Joyous Begisen, Gift Malunga who is the UNFPA Kenya Deputy Representative.
