An inspiring story of Javan Kevins

A mongst the various responsibilities given to man by God was the responsibility of taking care of His creation.Mother nature was one of them.Today we celebrate the story of one amazing young man by the name of Javan Kevins Namema.Born and raised in Western Kenya in a family of five, Javan is the current president and founder of Mazingira Bora Initiative Kenya an organization that deals with environmental conservation.Asked to say something about the initiative,this is what he had to say,"We do beautification,solid waste management,town clean ups,tree planting and general environmental activism." Asked what inspired him into this the founder confirmed to us that his love and desire for a cleaner environment pushed him to the direction thus motivating him to start the campaign against environmental degradation and from there Mazingira Bora Initiative was born.When asked about what challenges they have faced in his own words had this to say,"We faced a lot of financial challenges not forgetting the competition from other environmental related organizations.At first, they came in fully.Illiteracy was also a great challenge putting all environmental stakeholders together was never easy."We asked him if he had any dreams for the future and it was evident that all he wants is to make Kenya a cleaner country.Asked if he had any advice for the readers of this article or better still those with similar dreams like him, in his own words this is what he had to say,"I just want to encourage all those having the same dreams like me to follow their passion and be patient.Always expect criticism for they are meant to strengthen us.Be positive always".Javan Kevins went to Kisumu Boys and later Manor House High School kitale.He is an alumni of Aviation College where he studied community development.Together with other stakeholders amongst the very many achievements the initiative boasts of are planting over 300000 trees,having hosted many celebrated leaders; renowned Johnson Mwakazi being one of them.They also are proud to have cleaned several towns and cities, hosting various environment associated conferences but most inspiring one is their new project "Trees For Birthday" where people plant trees as a way to celebrate their birthdays.He confirmed to us that through this project the initiative has been able to plant 2000 trees,cleaned two rivers and so far involved 90 schools in the planting of the trees.Isn't this so amazing?Our desire is for this article to inspire you the more as you set out to fulfill your purpose on this earth.
