When I was in a matatu this morning, I heard a very interesting story from a man in Nyanza. He was complaining that his wife wants to leave him because he married her when she was too young and that she did not get to have fun.
“I really love this woman, but sasa anataka kuniwacha kwa sababu nilimuoa akiwa mdogo na hakujifurahisha ya kutosha,” said the man.
He said that they got married when the woman was only 22-years-old and that the woman complains he took away her youthful years. The man is asking people to help him find ways of keeping his wife because he is afraid of losing her.
I find this story funny because, why did the girl accept to get married when she was that young in the first place? She was not forced into the marriage. Quick lesson: before you get married think and think carefully lest you find yourself in the same situation.
