Bedbugs menace in Kenyan universities

By Maurice Omurwa | September 4th 2016 at 14:12:00 GMT +0300

Students now burn the midnight oil in libraries and study rooms away from beds. A visitor would take it a liking for books but a new revelation shows campus students keep off beds at night in fear of kunguni.

These parasites have earned a new name 'micro comrades' among campus peers if the thrilling experience they give is anything to go by. Narrated experiences indicate that the bedbugs cause skin irritation making it hard to catch sleep at night.

They keep off beds at night studying and sleep during the day when the micro comrades are in their hideouts or perhaps the micro comrades attend lectures.
