Skill and talent dominate inaugural IDPA Patron's Cup

The inaugural Patron’s Cup went down this weekend with a host of shooters showing why they are undisputed kings and queens on the courses of fire.

The event was officially unveiled by CS Sports Amina Mohammed, who was joined by Energy and Petroleum CS Monica Juma and State Department for Industrialization PS Peter Kaberia.

A record of 130 participants took part in the Tier 1 contest whereby exceptional display of skill was witnessed.

NGAO-Kenya Chairman Martin Chengo, Patron Amb. Anthony Muchiri, Match Director Anthony Wahome, instructor Sammy Onyango and Safety Officer Peter Njoroge gave the guests a brief lesson on shooting.

The guests took perfect target shots to the cheers of the crowd, with CS Monicah Juma extending her prowess to the shotgun whereby she made perfect shots too.

In SSP division master class; Ibrahim Ndung’u maintained a solid lead as Daniel Mutiso of Prisons came in second.

In ESP master class, Eric Wachira emerged top followed by Eng. Sammy Onyango as Samuel Chacha of GSU came in third.

In CCP master class, Mahir Omar carried the day while his father Master Mohammad Omar who battled it out with CCP expert class emerged top in the category.

Expert Tony Karanja triumphed in Carry Optics (CO) class as Elias Kavwagi topped in the BUG division. The PCC expert class was won by CPT. Geoffrey Pesa as Joel Waroi carried the day in Revolver Division

The Ladies Category was won by sharpshooter Agnes Wangechi of DCI, Adan Barrow emerged top in the Law Enforcement Category, Satnam Channa topped in the Senior and Industry categories.

 Agatha Muchiri shone bright in the Military Category as Robert Kibutiri of Radio Africa won in the press category. Standard Media Group’s Wilberforce Okwiri lifted the trophy in the press amateur division.

Mukhtar Omar gave Tony Munene a run for his money to top in Distinguished Senior Category respectively.
