Baragoi, Kenya: Tension is high at Natiti village in Baragoi following latest bandits attack and invasion.

Heavily armed bandits stormed the village at Monday and stole 100 goats after they overpowered the area residents.

A resident, Aloise Losike, told The Standard the bandits struck at 6pm when the goats were back home from the grazing field.
"We heard gunshots and in disbelief, the bandits took all our goats. There is nothing we could do as they were heavily armed and they could kill all of us” Aloise said.

Last week, Deputy President William Ruto warned cattle rustlers that their days are numbered bacause the government will take stern action.

Samburu Police Commandant Patric Wambane said police officers are tracking down the bandits in a bid to recover the stolen animals.

Wambane urged residents not to retaliate as the hands of the law had taken its course adding that security will be intensified in the region.

"I will ensure that all the stolen goats are recovered and peace prevail in the area”, Wambane added.
