Western Jaguars closed the gap between them and second-placed Kenya Police to within three points after thrashing Strathmore University Gladiators 5-2 in a seven-goal Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) men's Premier League match at the City Park Stadium in Nairobi on Sunday.

Conrad Wafula and Edison Ndombi each scored a brace for the Kakamega-based outfit with Bethuel Masambu adding to the rout as Brian Ongech and Keith Alusa scored the students two goals in the defeat.
