David Moyes could be in line for a shock return to football with French club Nantes.
The former Everton , Sunderland, Manchester United and West Ham boss is believed to be on the shortlist to replace current Nantes boss Miguel Cardoso.
Moyes has been out of work since being replaced at West Ham by former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini last summer.
The Scot kept the Hammers in the Premiership, guiding them to a 13th placed despite taking over when they sat in 18th.
Nantes are in a similar predicament, as they currently sit 18th in the Ligue 1 table.
The French outfit have only picked up one win in seven games so far this season though, compared to West Ham's two at the time of his appointment.
55-year-old Moyes has never coached in France, but had a spell as manager of Spanish side Real Sociedad back in 2014-15.
Despite leading them to a 12th place finish, Moyes was sacked just a year into his tenure after a poor start to the following season.
