REVEALED: What Shaw asked Mourinho during furious dressing room row

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw confronted Mourinho’s decision to take him off at half-time during the FA Cup clash with Brighton in a heated dressing room row according to reports.

According to the Daily Mail, Luke Shaw busted after he was informed of the decision to substitute him at half-time and challenged Mourinho over the way he was treating him. He reacted angrily by asking the Manchester United manager why he always pick on him.

However, Mourinho responded by telling the defender that he was poor at the back, giving Brighton too much freedom down United’s left flank.

It was not the first time the Portuguese manager criticized Shaw in public as he has been questioned on numerous occasions.

It is understood that Mourinho is frustrated with Shaw’s focus and ability to follow tactical instructions and wants the player to concentrate first on defending.

Shaw has just one year left on his contract and there are doubts over the former Southampton’s future at Old Trafford.

It is rumoured that United have listed a number of potential replacements with Tottenham’s Danny Rose, Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham, Alex Sandro of Juventus and Celtic’s Kieran Tierney making the cut.

The England international is not the only one who has faced it rough with Mourinho tyhis season as United’s record signing Paul Pogba has also paid the price of touchline exchange with the manager, starting just three of nine games since then.
