Pogba teases fans on Instagram that Thomas Lemar could join Manchester United

Paul Pogba drops hint Thomas Lemar could join Manchester United

Arsenal and Liverpool failed to land Thomas Lemar on deadline day - but could Manchester United fare better in the next window?

United midfielder Paul Pogba's social media tease last night left fans wondering if Agent P could strike again.

Pogba, who dubbed himself 'Agent P' after his friend Romelu Lukaku agreed to join United, uploaded an Instagram picture of him with Lemar last night.

Lemar, 21, scored twice in a 4-0 win for France against Netherlands in Paris in the final hours of deadline day.

And Pogba jokingly suggested he is preparing an approach ahead of the next summer transfer window.

The United midfielder, pictured shaking hands with Lemar, wrote on Instagram: "Happy with yesterday's result, working for the next goal. Proud of being blue."

He then signed off the caption with the #AgentP hashtag.

Arsenal and Liverpool but they failed to lure the £90million-rated winger to the Premier League so Lemar is destined to stay with the Ligue 1 champions - for now.

Mourinho said last month he wants to sign a player who 'allows me to play with three at the back and have a wing-back', having previously targeted Internazionale winger Ivan Perisic.

Left-footed Lemar has shone on both flanks for Monaco and France and could be a starter for Les Bleus at next year's World Cup finals in Russia.
