Kenyan Premier League: Muhoroni Stadium banned

Football Kenya Federation has banned Muhoroni stadium, the home of Muhoroni Youth FC, over crowd trouble.

On Saturday, Nzoia Sugar fans were injured during a KPL match at the venue, prompting the action from FKF. FKF CEO Robert Muthomi said the facility would not host any federation-sanctioned matches.

Muthomi, in a letter copied to his KPL counterpart Jack Oguda, asked the club to get a new venue for their remaining matches until further notice. Muthomi said: “The federation has moved to ban Muhoroni Stadium with immediate effect from hosting any FKF sanctioned matches until such a time that it is satisfied the Stadium is safe for fans, players and match officials.” [Gilbert Wandera]
