Prime Minister Raila Odinga now says he will not protect anybody proven culpable in the maize scam, although he refuses to say if or when he will ask his top aides named in the maize scandal audit report to step down from office. Coming just days after he joined the spirited fight for accountability over the free primary educations funds saga, the Prime Minister’s apparent double-speak might just have opened the two latest scandals in government to a whole new level of scrutiny.
