Sachang'wan accident leaves six dead

Six people have died after they were involved in a road accident at the Sachang'wan black spot along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.

Molo Sub County police Commander Mwende Muthamia said the accident happened today morning.

"The 14-seatet matatu belonging to the Eldoret Shuttle Sacco veered off the Highway and landed in a ditch. We lost five people on the spot," said Muthamia.

He said eight others were rushed to Molo Sub County Hospital with injuries where one succumbed rising the death toll to six.

Bodies is the deceased person's have been taken to Molo Sub County Hospital morgue while the wreckage towed to Molo Police Station.

While urging road users to be more careful at the stretch, the police boss said the accident happened at dawn.
