24-hour security surveillance in Mara to protect wildlife

The sleepy Narok town in Narok County came to life as Indian band known as Swamibapa Pipe Band entered the town with pomp and colour to mark 60 years since it was established.The band comprising of a team from Boston,United Kingdom, India and Nairobi dressed in colourful dressing and tunes entertained the residents as they held a procession of two Kilometers from Narok Stadium to Narok Temple. The county government has put a 24-hour security surveillance at Masai Mara National Game Reserve after eight lions were poisoned by enraged herders a few days ago.

Tourism Executive Nelson Keshei said the park is now witnessing a booming tourism season with the number of domestic tourism increasing.
