Leaders and elders from the Pokot community on Sunday visited a shrine in Makany village at the Kenya-Uganda border to reverse a curse that had been pronounced on their people 92 years ago.
The group said it had been prompted to visit Lopore Shrine to reverse the curse that has haunted them to date after elders buried a pen and a book there in 1923 in a bid to resist the agenda of colonialists to civilise the community and water down the African culture.
