Runny Tummy

I was in a high school that had one visiting day per term. And on the specific day we all had delicious food that we devoured like hunger stricken vultures. Soon after all the overeating, many of us suffered stomach aches. And my case was even worse as I had bouts of diarrhoea. Unfortunately, the toilets near the classrooms were closed due to water shortage and I had to take the long journey to the dormitories relieve myself. On the way, my "brakes" failed and I felt the hot sticky and smelly liquid dripping down my thighs to my shoes! To make matters worse, the dorms were closed and I had to wait for over 30 minutes before the dorm prefect finally appeared to open the doors. Save for the flies, nobody not even my closest friends dared to come near me.

From that day I was nicknamed ‘Mharo’. The name has stuck since.

Escalating drama

I was on my way to the movie theatre with my cousins and was already late. On reaching the venue I asked the security for the direction to the hall because it was our first time there. He directed us to the first floor. The fastest way to get there was by an escalator nearby. I did not waste time as I took the escalator going down instead of the one going up. People stared at me but I just ignored them. I really struggled with the escalator for about 10 minutes falling every time I tried to reach the end and hurting my knees. Luckily, there was a gentleman who felt sorry for me and helped me. I thanked him and walked away acting like nothing of the sort had happened.
