The 10-member National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) now says that they will give priority to issues related to electoral justice.

In a statement released on Friday, September 1 the committee which grouped the issues raised by both coalitions into five categories, said that it will prioritize the reconstruction of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC and the auditing of the 2022 General Election.

The committee which is said to meet on September 11 will also discuss boundary delimitation which is set to bring balance to different counties.

After that, the committee will then address pending constitutional matters including the high cost of living, and the gender rule, and review checks and balances in the government.

Later under group three, NADCO says it will settle the issue of political parties with the main focus being interference in its internal issues.

After that, the committee will then tackle the issue of funding with regard to the constitution.

Under this group, NADCO aims to solve issues around the National Government Constituencies Fund (NG-CDF), the National Government Affirmative Action Fund, and the Senate Oversight Fund.

Lastly, the committee will then be expected to discuss the role of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, his legality according to the constitution, and the creation of the office of the Leader of the Official Opposition.

All this is supposed to happen within thirty days after which the 10-member committee is expected to give a report in Parliament.
