KAKAMEGA: Musalia Mudavadi says has forgiven Kalonzo Musyoka for sentiments he made against him at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi to the effect that the ANC leader was a Jubilee sympathizer.

The sentiments had made Mudavadi to do a rebuttal on social media reminding the wiper leader of how he let down a formidable opposition to get a slot of Vice President under Mwai Kibaki in 2007.

Last Saturday during burial service for slain business man Jacob Juma, Kalonzo had publicly apologised saying it was unfair to overlook Mudavadi's political stand as a liberal presidential candidate in the republic by suggesting he was in Jubilee.

"If you forgave the other side (Jubilee) for calling you a shetani (ghost), you ought to certainly pardon me for the small mistake I did at All Saints Cathedral my brother," Kalonzo pleaded with Mudavadi who stayed stoic with a smile on face, not indicating whether he had forgiven him or not.

Mudavadi could not respond to Kalonzo that day since Kalonzo spoke after he had already taken the podium.

He nonetheless told the Standard on phone that though an innocent man he had a history of being wronged more than any other politician of his time,

"But that does not mean I hold grudge on my brother Kalonzo I am not the vindictive and sulking kind like other politicians. Kalonzo's confessing apology that he spoke out of tune in linking me to Jubilee is therefore most welcome, though it came belatedly," he said.

Mudavadi who reiterated Friday in a local TV interview of the forgiveness distance himself from the Jubilee tag and had earlier in Juma's funeral said,

"I know the trickery of Jubilee more than most of politicians seated here. If there is a victim of their dishonesty which they continue to apply to Kenyans, it is me. To tell me because I am not in CORD therefore I am in Jubilee is to insult me. It is shear hypocrisy" he refuted in what appeared a veiled attack on Kalonzo.

Mudavadi was picking up from Cyrus Jirongo who had told off Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale for trying to pigeonhole the Luhya community into CORD.

Jirongo who said he has been in politics reluctantly announced a Super Alliance of Luhya and other communities led by Mudavadi,

"We are forming a Super Alliance led by Mudavadi and you should be ready to negotiate with us as equals for a change of guard. Our common enemy is Jubilee", said Jirongo to CORD brigade of Moses Wetangula and Raila Odinga who were in attendance.
