Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho Senator) and Willy Mtengo (Malindi MP), were yesterday sworn-in.

The swearing-in of Mr Mtengo was attended by CORD co-principals Raila Odinga and Moses Wetang’ula, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi, and a host of Opposition senators.

Immediately after the swearing in, the usual House business went on unlike in the Senate where Jubilee-allied senators led by Deputy Minority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen took to the floor in celebration. Cheruiyot was ushered in by Senate Majority Leader Kithure Kindiki and Nandi Senator Stephen Sang at 2.39pm.
