Why I’m throwing my lot behind M7, president of Uganda and beyond

Disclaimer: The following information is meant for sole use of my readers and cannot be adduced in any litigation in relation to broadcasting rights of the World Cup.

I have been watching the World Cup courtesy of Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) which in turn happily reminds that the games have been brought live and free by His Excellency Yoweri M7, the (nearly life) president of Uganda.

The soldier-turned-statesman strikes a contemplative pose in that advertisement, which is rather apt as the man is said to be considering running for yet another term in 2016 — after 30 years at the helm. Meanwhile, the TV promo goes on, the UBC community in Uganda (and presumably those in neighbouring countries watching the station on pirated feeds) have hit 16 million and counting, all of whom throw their lot behind M7 should he decided to run for office in the future.

For good measure, the footie connoisseurs on UBC, whose insights start and end with the proclamation — this team was likely to perform well because they did — attribute everything, from the 3D displays in studio to M7.

I have been waiting to hear someone say the reason they are able to stay up late without nodding off was in large part because of M7.
