A wonderful outing

Besides seeing the animals, the children also enjoyed playing on the slides, swings, merry-go-round and boats

Seeing giraffes, rhinos, elephants, crocodiles and other animals was a dream come true for Kindergarten pupils of Mirema School in Nairobi. They recently visited Mamba Village, the famous Giraffe Centre and David Shedrick Wildlife Trust, all in Nairobi.

Three-year-old Alicia Auma had been eagerly awaiting this day for a whole week. She says she was happy to see animals and birds such as ostriches that she had only seen in pictures before. Ray Jerome, a baby class pupil says besides the animals they also enjoyed playing on the slides, swings, merry-go-round and boats.

On the way home, the children visited Bomas of Kenya where they watched traditional dancers.

The 20 children say they will never forget that lovely day.
