DCI boss George Kinoti reshuffles top officers

The Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti Saturday announced new changes affecting the top hierarchy at the directorate.

 Assistant Inspector General of Police John Gachomo was appointed as the new head of the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) to replace Nyale Munga who was named the new Director of Planning at the DCI headquarters.

Nairobi DCI boss Nicholas Kamwende was named the new Director of Forensic Investigations at the headquarters while North Eastern DCI Mohammed Amin was moved to the National Focal Point and Small Arms under the ministry of interior.

Gideon Kibunja was moved from Rift Valley and named the new commandant of the DCI Training School, South C.

In the changes, Kinoti also moved Bernard Nyakwaka from Kiambu County to Nairobi, naming him the regional head of Nairobi.

More changes were expected Monday when Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet was to announce new 390 Officers Commanding Police Division (OCPDs). Administration Police service got 100 slots in the new changes.
