One injured when bringing down building

Nairobi, Kenya: A man was hurt when a house he was demolishing collapsed on the truck he was using.
The driver of the truck was, however, lucky to escape with minor cuts on his hand from the window glass shards as he jumped out of the truck to everyone's relief.
Residents and passers-by at the area, near Seasons Estate in Kasarani, Nairobi scampered for safety when rods from the demolished house hit power lines which in turn started producing sparks.
The five-storeyed house is said to have been faulty, prompting authorities from Nairobi County to give the owner notice to evacuate late last year.
The demolition was going on well yesterday in the afternoon for a couple of minutes, as a large crowd watched, before it collapsed.
Kasarani OCPD Francis Sang made an appearance at the scene but declined to address the Press saying he was only there to check on security of residents.
County officials on site declined to comment on the matter.
