"We have had sleepless nights for the last one week. Since Tuesday last week we have visited more than 20 hospitals in the Country," says Mageto.

Police were forced to bring in sniffer dogs that forcing the County government to bring back the excavators to the site.

This brings to the number of those who perished in the tragedy to seven.

Already the government through various multisectroal agencies have warned contractors in the region of dire consequences with the continued collapse of buildings in Kisii town.

Moses Nyakiongora, Secretary Buildings Inspectorate says that there are nine buildings in Kisii town that are earmarked for demolition.

"Unfortunately people still occupy those houses despite severAl warning notices. Tenants should report to the authorities of any dangerous building," says Nyakiongora.
