Two bodies dumped along Nairobi-Nakuru highway

Naivasha, Kenya:  Two bodies were Sunday morning found dumped along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway, a few kilometers from Gilgil town.

It is suspected that the two were killed elsewhere and dumped by the roadside in an incident that left many in shock.

According to a source privy to the investigations, there were indications that the duo was strangled using a rope.

The source added that the victims were in their mid 30s and were half naked when the bodies were found hours after the incident.

"We suspect that the two were killed in the same area and the bodies dumped here in Gilgil by unknown people," said the source.

Gilgil OCPD Serah Koki confirmed the incident adding that the bodies did not have any identification documents.

Koki said the bodies had been taken to Gilgil district hospital mortuary and  investigations into the incident were under way.

"We are calling on members of the public to volunteer any information which could assist us in our investigations," she said.
