Politics of tribalism and ethnicity a threat to national unity in Kenya, says Deputy President William Ruto

Deputy President William Ruto said today that politics of ethnicity and tribalism are a threat to nationhood and asked Kenyans to uphold ideals that will hold the country together.

He made it clear that national unity will remain elusive if every community advanced their own narrow interests warning that fragmentation of the country along ethnic and tribal lines was a recipe for chaos.
