Diamond Platinumz, Rayvany beg for forgiveness from their Government

21st December, 2018

Tanzania’s music and arts regulatory board Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa (BASATA) has banned Diamond Platinumz and Rayvanny from performing on any shows or concert in and outside Tanzania.

The board took the decision after the duo had performed the outlawed “Mwanza” hit song during the Wasafi Festival Tour in different parts of the country.

They had been advised not to perform the song at any gathering in Tanzania but Diamond defied the orders by performing the song again during a recent show in Thika, Kenya.

The Bongo Fleva additionally refused to pull the song down from YouTube as directed by BASATA.

But in a turn of events, the two have shared a video on their social media platforms humbling themselves and expressing their regret, consequently seeking forgiveness from BASATA.
