Members of Parliament have accused telecommunications service provider, Safaricom of abusing its dominance by allegedly overcharging their customers with high prices on services the company offers from data to voice calls and text messaging. Led by the committee on communication information and innovation, Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore who has been in a 9-month leave was put to task by legislators to explain why the company has been entertaining high charges across its service menu that spans data bundles, to mobile money transfer.
