A little known sexually transmitted infection could become the next superbug unless people become more vigilant, experts are warning.
Mycoplasma genitalium, abbreviated as MG often has no symptoms but can cause pelvic inflammatory disease.
This especially puts women at the risk of becoming infertile.
MG can be missed and if not treated correctly, can develop resistance to antibiotics.
The British Association of Sexual Health and HIV is launching a set of guidelines on the detection and treatment of the disease.
