Hon Samuel Arama set free after three days in custody

Nakuru town west Mp, Samuel Arama, and his co-accused, Kennedy Onkoba, have been released on a ksh 2 million bond each with a surety of similar amount or an alternative cash bail of ksh 1 million each the two had been in custody for the whole weekend, and were on Monday charged with fraudulent acquisition of land in Nakuru. The pre-trial conference for the two accused is scheduled for July 9th. Meanwhile, eight members of parliament from Kisii and Nyamira have condemned the police over what they termed as breaking the law by arresting individuals and locking them up even on claims that are bail able.
