Mobile phone service provider Safaricom has raised the red flag over the newly proposed regulations by the communications authority of Kenya that are geared towards taming abuse of dominance in the telecommunications sector. Safaricom’s CEO Bob Collymore says the proposed tariff regulations are against international practices and if implemented this could erode investor confidence and could result in capital flight in the long run.
