The united opposition alliance led by former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is expected to visit the late ODM leader Raila Odinga’s Opoda farm in Bondo, Siaya, on Thursday.
The visit comes in the wake of growing political tension after Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga, in a televised address, accused Gachagua of being “an enemy of the people” and declared him unwelcome in Bondo for allegedly failing to publicly mourn the opposition leader.
Political observers say the visit could mark a turning point in the country’s evolving post-Odinga political landscape.
